Planning for the 2027 Safer Buildings Coalition Seminar Season is underway, and the 2027 city list will be announced on Thursday, October 29.
Thank you to every member who took the 2027 Seminar Planning Survey. Your input on host cities, return visits, program changes, school safety events and budgets is shaping next year’s schedule. The survey closed on Tuesday, October 27.
We encourage our members to get involved by sponsoring and attending as we take our mission on the road once again. Here is what to expect between now and January. All communication will be sent to the Primary Point of Contact on file for each member company.

Timeline
- 1. Tuesday, October 27 – 3p ET / 2p CT / 1p MT / 12p PT: Survey closed.
- 2. FORM OPEN DATE – Thursday, October 29 – 3p ET / 2p CT / 1p MT / 12p PT: The 2027 city list is announced.
- 3. ROUND 1 SUBMISSION ACCEPTED DATE – Thursday, November 5 – 3p ET / 2p CT / 1p MT / 12p PT: Round 1 opens. Select your preferred seminar cities for 2027.
- 4. ROUND 1 CLOSES DATE – Thursday, November 12 – 11:59p ET / 10:59p CT / 9:59p MT / 8:59p PT: Round 1 closes. Round 1 Lock-In begins.
- 5. ROUND 1 LOCK IN DATE- Thursday, November 19 – 11:59p ET / 10:59p CT / 9:59p MT / 8:59p PT: Round 1 Lock-In Date. Sponsors confirm their chosen cities.
- 6 .ROUND 2 SUBMISSION ACCEPTED DATE – Friday, November 20 – 3p ET / 2p CT / 1p MT / 12p PT: Round 2 opens. Primary Contacts may bid on remaining available cities.
- 7. ROUND 2 CLOSES DATE –Tuesday, December 1 – 11:59p ET / 10:59p CT / 9:59p MT / 8:59p PT: Round 2 closes. Round 2 Lock-In begins.
- 8. ROUND 2 LOCK IN DATE – Thursday, December 10 – 11:59p ET / 10:59p CT / 9:59p MT / 8:59p PT: Round 2 Lock-In Date. SBC begins planning 2027 venues, marketing and travel.
- 9. Friday, January 15, 2027: Invoices due.
How the rounds work
Round 1 (November 5–12). Primary Contacts at paid-tier member companies receive a link to select their preferred seminar cities from the 2027 city list.
Round 1 Lock-In (November 12-19). Sponsors must confirm their city picks by the Lock-In Date. Once locked in, sponsors are invoiced.
Round 2 (November 20 – December 1). Round 2 begins right after Round 1 locks in. Primary Contacts may submit bids for the cities that still have open slots. Some slots are reserved for new members who join during 2027.
Round 2 Lock-In (December 1-10). Once Round 2 locks in, SBC begins planning the 2027 venues, marketing and travel. After this date, SBC may accept additional requests from members to hold seminars in additional cities.
Invoices (January 15, 2027). All 2027 seminar sponsorship invoices are due.

The 2027 SBC Wireless Tech & Policy Summit takes place June 9–10, 2027, at the University of Maryland. Members who want early pricing to plan their budgets can request the sponsorship prospectus through our contact form.
