Patrick Lau Statement to Members: For the last year I have tremendous honor to serve as a board member at the Safer Buildings Coalition. I have witnessed in first-hand the amount of impact SBC has on the public safety sectors, local AHJ and FirstNet. The SBC mission is to focus on advancing policies and ideas that lead to more buildings being served with commercial and public safety wireless coverage. We made education outreach a priority for our members. Last year SBC has coordinated and conducted for more than 40 training sessions to local AHJs with the help of our members. We also made priorities on Code Development and defining technical requirements for future FirstNet deployment. A lot of work has been done, and it will take a lot more to continue these initiatives. If I am fortunate enough to be able to serve as your Vice President, I will devote my attention and work with all our members to help SBC advance these initiatives, alongside with the rest of the Board of Directors. I am proud to be part of this organization. Thank you for your attention. Regards, |
