Don’t Miss Our Stacked Program at IBWPosted on May 17, 2019 The In-Building Wireless (IBW) Congress is coming to Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, June 10-12– and the Safer Buildings Coalition will be there as an exhibitor and partner of the event. Looking for a program that tackles everything you need to know about in-building communications and how it impacts public safety, look no further than the Safer Buildings Coalition’s two-day program at IBW – “In-Building Communications for Public Safety, Security and Operation.” This stacked program gets underway Tuesday afternoon, June 11th and wraps up Wednesday, June 12th. First item on the agenda: "Key Considerations for Designing and Deploying In-building Public Safety Communications Systems." This session features some of the top minds in Radio Frequency engineering and design who will cover such issues as meeting the requirements of public safety for indoor coverage, preventing interference and signal strength. Next up, Safer Buildings Coalition Executive Directive, Chief Alan Perdue, heads up a discussion about National and Local Code Regulations and Requirements for Public Safety Communications. The session will look at recent and planned code updates – NFPA, IFC, UL and local requirements, with a particular focus on Clark County, NV -- That is Las Vegas' county. Our next session is titled "Doing Well While Doing Good: How Public Safety Communication Mandates are Expanding In-Building Opportunities” SBC Managing Director John Foley and his panel examine how recent widespread adoption of Fire and Building codes impact developers and property owners, and how they can keep or bring buildings up to code -- while retaining a solid ROI. On the panel: Justin Marron, CEO, Strategic Venue Partners Day one wraps ups with a presentation by David Adams, Senior Product Manager, PCTEL RF Solutions, which covers monitoring and Managing Public Safety Systems. Marron will address maintenance, system reliability, liability and annual-testing best practices. The final installment in our IBW program is "The Lines are Blurred! – LMR? LTE? What is the future for Public Safety Communications?" Safer Buildings Coalition's Chief Perdue and John Foley will deliver an update on Public Safety LTE and how it is augmenting, and at times replacing, Land Mobile Radio (LMR). We hope you'll join us for this special program at IBW.
