Mike Brownson: ERCES/ERRCS Installer Training

Passionate About Public Safety

After 50 years in the wireless industry and owning 2 separate companies plus over 25 years in providing the industry with in-building coverage solutions Mike Brownson has developed a wealth of knowledge to share via his ERCES Installer Training.  Mike is also the managing editor and contributing author of the Complete ERCES Handbook, the definitive guide for installers, AHJs, building owners and managers and general contractors that want to know more about in-building coverage solutions for public safety.

Installer Training

Proper installation of in-building coverage solutions requires specific knowledge of building and fire code requirements as well as an understanding of RF (radio frequency) technologies and the test equipment required to measure RF.  Mike Brownson offers training programs to prepare individuals to pass the NICET IB-PSC  (In-Building Public Safety Communications) certification program.  Now offering 2-day hand-on classes across the country for ERCES installers that are looking to get NICET IB-PSC Certification or simply learn the best practices of testing, installation and commissioning of the equipment.

IBW Consulting

In addition to training Mike is also available to assist in troubleshooting and commissioning of complex public safety IBW solutions or guiding AHJs in writing the administrative rules and best practices for testing these solutions.
