These are the notes from the most recent SBC Codes & Standards Work Group meeting.
1. Introductions and Announcements
2. SBC Update: Alan and John provided updates.
3. NFPA 1225 TIA Update: Alan Perdue expects to submit the three TIA’s during the week of 9/9.
4. RF Issues Sub-WG: No update. Greg Glenn – Chair, Dick, Mathew, Dennis, Ludwik, Scott King, David Adams, Lorenzo Benton, Clark Lazare, Kevin Persing
5. UL2524 Sub-WG: Mike B – Chair, Alan, Michael Yanofsky, Josh Adams, Dennis B, Greg Glenn, Michael McIsaac, Richard Roberts
6. Fire Rated ERCES Cables Sub-WG: Alan reported the UL 2196 WG is seeking to hold a one-day meeting sometime in September to continue and hopefully finalize their work.
7. State Level Issues: No update. State-level reports assist in keeping close tabs on the C&S issues happening in that state and bringing any concerns to the larger working group.
8. FirstNet and AT&T Update: No update.
9. 2027 Edition of NFPA 1225 Sub-WG: Richard reported that SBC Sub-WG submitted 21 public inputs.
10. SBC Petition to FCC Regarding Signal Booster Rules: During the October meeting, a new Sub-WG will be formed.
11. Next Meeting Date and Time: 10/4/2024 at noon eastern.
