Fifth Gen Media Joins the Safer Buildings Coalition to Bring Public Safety Communications Information to CRE Professionals through Connected Real Estate’s Media Offerings
Fifth Gen Media wants to help commercial real estate professionals understand in-building public safety requirements
Fairfield, N.J.—August 22, 2017—Fifth Gen Media LLC, the entity behind Connected Real Estate Magazine and weekly newsletter, announces that it will join the Safer Buildings Coalition to contribute information about wireless technology that will aid in efforts to develop more reliable in-building safety communications.
A non-profit organization established in 2012, the Safer Buildings Coalition provides advocacy and education related to in-building public safety communications. Its stakeholders include property developers and owners, fire and building code officials, wireless infrastructure equipment and services providers, and wireless service providers such as carriers and third party operators.
Fifth Gen Media aims to share its wireless information with the Coalition and will provide reasons why wireless technologies will benefit AHJ’s (Authority Having Jurisdiction) and others by providing reliable content and general public safety information. Through Connected Real Estate’s media offerings, wireless technology tailored towards public safety will be promoted.
“In-Building Public Safety Communication is very important to us and our constituents,” said Rich Berliner, founder of Fifth Gen Media and publisher of Connected Real Estate Magazine. “We look forward to working with the Coalition and being apart of the public safety discussion to bring this information to our CRE audience.”
“We are grateful for the generous support from Fifth Gen Media and for coverage by Connected Real Estate Magazine,” said John Foley, VP of Operations for the Safer Buildings Coalition. “Our primary mission is to make buildings safer for occupants and for the first responders who serve and protect life and property within them. Our association with Fifth Gen Media will significantly improve our ability to connect with property owners and managers to propel this important mission.”
Bob Butchko of Fifth Gen Media will be moderating a panel on public safety networks with the Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA)’s HetNet Expo in Palm Beach from Oct. 10 to Oct. 11.
