70% of emergency calls now come from cell phones. But dispatchers in Kansas City are unable to trace all of the calls that come from cell phones. Sometimes they will receive different locations a half a mile a way from each other. Can you imagine if the call was incorrectly traced to another building five blocks away during rush hour traffic? For first responders, the extra time it takes to locate the source of the call could be the difference between life and death.
